A Pal For Pat is the sixth episode of the spin-off series SpongeBob LovePants and aired alongside Squiddy Love on February 3, 2013.
Plot[]
While sitting on a bench at the park holding a box of chocolates, waiting for his girlfriend, Patrick notices she wasn't going to turn up. After being dumped a depressed Patrick goes to Goofy Goober's for an ice cream and and tells SpongeBob what happened. SpongeBob then declares he is going to find a partner for Patrick.
They then finds a young sea star, but when Eros aims it at her he accidentally hits Sandy for the second time making her fall in love with Patrick. She gets a divorce from SpongeBob and then marries Patrick. At Patrick's bachelor party he and SpongeBob come up with a plan to seperate Sandy and him, but it fails.
Trivia[]
- The episode was originally titled "A Pal For Patrick" but it was changed to "A Pal For Pat" but it still remained on the title card.
- The opening scene of Patrick sitting on the park bench is a parody of the famous sequence from the Academy Award winning film Forrest Gump.
