The Bikini Bottom Courthouse is home to the court of law in Bikini Bottom. It is located in the downtown part of the city, just across the street from and facing the Lord Mayor's House. The courthouse's motto is Ab Ordine Libertas, meaning "from order comes freedom".
Design and features[]
The courthouse's exterior is mostly in gold with some bright red. The building's architecture was inspired by the Bristol Byzantine style. The building has four floors and is somewhat wide. Entering the building requires ascending a wide stairway with twenty-five steps. Just above the golden door leading into the building is a large wooden sign featuring the Latin motto and the English translation right below it.
The courtroom is quite large and the wall is entirely in gold. Like most other courts, the judge sits behind the raised desk known as the bench; in this courtroom, the desk is light brown in color. The bench, the witness stand, and the desks of the court clerk and court reporter are protected by a thick bulletproof glass; access to those parts are enabled by a single glass door. Those speaking there do so using a fiber optic microphone. Four loudspeakers are installed on the courtroom's wall.
