The Bikini Bottom General Hospital is the largest and most-visited general hospital located in the city of Bikini Bottom, containing a total of exactly 2,250 beds. It is famous - and revered - among Bikini Bottoms for the great quality of service rendered to patients, but also widely derided for its architecture (it is a low-rise Brutalist building), which has been called "unappealing" and "hostile".

Krabs ("Our Temporary Manager, Mr. SquarePants!"), the hospital has 2,250 beds. It has a large emergency department (ED) to deal with immediate threats to health. The hospital has an ambulance service, covering Bikini Bottom and the surrounding suburbs.
Criticism[]
The hospital, while revered for the great quality of service, has also received much criticism. The hospital building's Brutalist architecture is fiercely criticized for giving the hospital a "cold", "hostile", "inhospitable", "lifeless" appearance. The hospital is also sometimes criticized for charging its patients too high. "The bills have also inspired more criticism, saying that we are hostile to anyone below the middle class and so on and so on," says Dr. Savalas to Krabs. "I think those critics don't understand the system. Besides, you can always get some insurance or things like that. Or just go to another hospital."
