I promise to be a responsible father from now on!

—Bowser’s promise to Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings in SMG4: Bowser Loses Custody Of His Children

King Bowser Koopa Sr. (or just Bowser) is a major character in the SMG4 series, serving as one of the two former main antagonists (alongside SMG3) or the secondary antagonist of Season 1, one of the three tritagonists (alongside Peach Toadstool and Toad) of Seasons 2 to 6 and a supporting character in following seasons.

Bowser is the king and leader of the Koopa Troop army, Mario's former arch-nemesis and the neglectful but also good father of Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings. He constantly aims to kidnap Princess Peach due to an obsession with her, and sometimes tried to rule over the Mushroom Kingdom in the earlier seasons. However, Peach sometimes prefers to be kidnapped rather than dealing with chaos caused by other characters (mostly Mario). Eventually, due to his wacky antics and utter incompetence at villainy, his one-time boss forcibly partnered him with SMG3 to be more effective villains, which only turned out microscopically better, before he eventually just gave up on being evil all together. As the series went on, he developed a love-hate relationship with Mario and SMG4's Gang, often joining them in their adventures, but still sometimes appears in less malicious antagonistic roles, with SMG3 eventually following suite.

Biography[]

Like most of the characters in this show, not much is known about Bowser's childhood. He did have a mother, however she was presumed dead after being found in a cave by EpicYoshiFan in Super Mario 64 Bloopers: Crystal Funhouse. Despite this, Cube has stated on Twitter that Bowser's Mom is alive and currently dating Whimpu. This was somewhat confirmed in SMG4: War Of The Fat Italians 2022, in which Whimpu states that he's dating her. However, we don't know what the status of this relationship is currently, and no references have been made to it since. While not much is known about Bowser's home life, it can be presumed that he spent a significant amount of time living with his grandmother, Granny Koopa. However, their relationship seems pretty toxic, as in various flashbacks, Granny Koopa is shown being displeased with Bowser on multiple occasions, not seeming to care about him too much. According to SM64: Cooking with Bowser and Mario, Bowser himself also remembers her to be a bit senile, usually not making much sense. He also had a twin brother named Bowsar, who is now deceased. However, they too seemed to not have the best relationship, as Bowser didn't even seem to care much when he died, simply stating that "he was bossy anyways." If it's true that Bowser spent his youth living with his grandma, then it is possible that he and Bowsar simply didn't spend much time together growing up, as Bowsar might've still lived with his mom. This would explain the gap between them, as well as why he didn't appear in any later flashbacks with other characters. Whatever the reason they're not close is, it would reflect canon Bowser's relationship with his brother, as despite being brothers, the two are never seen together; in their youth, through flashbacks, or in the present.

According to SMG4: Mario Babies, Mario and Bowser grew up together and were once friends. However, this all changed when the future Koopa King first laid his eyes on Princess Peach. He immediately fell in love and asked her out, giving her a doll as a gift. However, Mario was using the dolls to build a ladder so he could reach a plate of spaghetti on a table (as he was too small to reach it at the time). Peach rejected the gift, which enraged Bowser so much that he kidnapped her for the first time. Mario, who was pissed at Bowser for sabotaging the plan, kicks him away with a toy Koopa Shell; the same shell that the future king of Koopas would one day use against him.

As revealed in SMG4: SMG4's Origins, Bowser was presumably once the evil terrorizer of the Mushroom Kingdom, constantly kidnapping Peach and coming up with increasingly vile plans to destroy the Mario, ruin the kingdom, marry Peach, and rule the world, similarly to his mainstream Nintendo counterpart. However, everything changed when, after the events of Super Mario 64, SMG4's Guardian Pod crash-landed in the kingdom, infecting everything and everyone there with its stupidity and memes. Bowser was no exception to this, and as a result, became much goofier and innocent in nature, being able to get along with most of the people in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Appearance[]

Bowser differs greatly from the rest of the Koopas, who appear mainly as bipedal tortoises. His iconic features include a large, spiked shell, horns, razor-sharp teeth, and a shock of red hair. In addition, while most Koopas appear to be herbivorous and prefer fruits and vegetables as their diet, Bowser, due to his sharp teeth, prefers meat, particularly from victims he hunts down and captures, though he has, on occasion, consumed vegetation, as well. He is physically powerful, can breathe fire, and is said to have skills in black magic.

Bowser's physical size tends to vary from mainstream game to mainstream game. In most games, he is very large, presumably standing more than eight feet tall but there are exceptions.

Personality[]

Prior to being zapped by SMG4's Guardian Pod, Bowser was exactly like his mainstream self: A fierce, powerful foe who was persistently and repeatedly kidnapping Princess Peach and terrorizing the Mushroom Kingdom, as well as opposing Mario. After being zapped, he became much goofier and innocent in nature. And while he would still do various evil acts and fight Mario, he was still more tame than he was previously. The Guardian Pod also made Bowser a lot more incompetent as a villain in general, as he was shown to struggle with coming up with plans, and his evilness was pretty much just limited to kidnapping Peach and giving people minor inconveniences. He'd usually have to be persuaded into doing anything worse than that as he saw those actions as "too evil," and even then, he'd usually mess it up in the process. In fact, he was so bad at being evil that in Super Mario 64 Bloopers: Hotel Mario, he got kicked out of his castle by his own troops for not being evil enough (though he presumably took it back later). He also became a superfan of Justin Bieber, owning cutouts of him and going crazy whenever he saw him.

In the pursuit of villainy, Bowser would temporarily team up with SMG3. The two would often stay in each other's lairs and do various evil acts to and upon the citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom. However, due to Bowser's incompetence as a villain, SMG3 would often get annoyed with him, and saw himself as the superior villain. These conflicts led to a lot of infighting in the duo, and episodes like Super Mario 64 Bloopers: Two Evil Friends would showcase the two having a severe love-hate relationship, similarly to Mario and SMG4. Bowser would often laugh at SMG3 whenever one of his plans went wrong, and SMG3 would do things to try and purposefully piss off the Koopa King. Their conflict would end up getting so bad that they would end up straight up hating each other, as in SM64: Meet the Bowser, SMG3 absolutely cannot stand Bowser due to his incompetency and idiocy, calling him a "good for nothing, stupid, fat turtle" and getting triggered just by hearing his name. Their collaborations would slowly start to stop and die out, and they'd eventually go back to being solo villains.

Bowser was once shown to be madly in love, and even downright obsessed with Princess Peach. The reason he constantly kidnapped her was to win her affection. He has been shown to have posters of her hung all over the walls, and had built a dedicated shrine of Peach in his bedroom. He also spent villain-loaned money meant for schemes to build an "evil" robot of her to be his girlfriend in the aforementioned Two Evil Friends episode. The most notable example of this is in the episode R64: Princess Capturing Simulator, in which he is shown to have a recorded video of him getting freaky with a Peach doll, and plans to make her love him by showing her videos of him singing. However, he doesn't seem to have this same obsession with Peach anymore, even though he still likes her.

Bowser Kidnapping Peach

Eventually, starting around 2014, Bowser would become even goofier, almost never even trying to do anything evil unless it involved kidnapping Peach. He would eventually become friends with Mario, and they would start their own cooking show together. However, the two would still often clash, as Bowser was still constantly kidnapping Peach, which gravely annoyed Mario as he always had to go after and save her. They were still mostly seen as friends despite this, however, and never really had conflicts unless Peach was involved (which Bowser states himself in SMG4: Stupid Mario World). In general, Bowser had become very immature, and almost childlike, as shown in episodes like Super Mario 64 Bloopers: The Visitor, when he was goofing around in his box fort, or SM64 Christmas 2014: The Bowser That Stole Christmas, in which he still believed that Santa was real (though he was proved to be right the next year, and it's possible that the reason he wasn't getting any gifts was simply because he was on the Naughty List). Bowser is also shown to be bad at taking rejection, as showcased by the fact that his troops had to buy him Christmas presents every year so that he wouldn't go on a crazy rampage. This is also supported by the fact that the reason he kidnaps Peach in the first place was because she didn't love him (although in some episodes, he's shown to forget the reasons he kidnaps her and just does it based on schedule). Depending on his mood, Bowser can also become prone to succumbing to unfortunate circumstances more easily. Whenever anybody insulted him or said something bad about him, or if anything bad happened to him in general, he would usually fold and become inactive, sometimes even crying himself to sleep. He also would run away whenever something appears to be a threat, despite his immense power (though he is shown to have gotten over this in more recent episodes like SMG4: Mario Steals The Constitution). Despite this, however, he is usually quick to action if he gets mad enough, sometimes punching people when he is annoyed enough. Bowser was also prone to being somewhat arrogant on occasions; he prided himself for being a king, as well as his style, believing himself to be the "epitome of swagger," and generally believed that most of what he did would be seen as cool by other people, even when committing strange or unsatisfactory actions.

Bowser deeply believed in the importance of "swag" and was constantly trying to be as "fabulous" as possible. This had become a running gag on the series at one point, as he regularly said his catchphrase "Bitch, I'm fabulous," and had multiple clips (mostly in Ssenmodnars) of him doing something like this. His love for Justin Bieber had grown to an obsession nearly as big and problematic as his obsession with Peach, to the point of which the singer knew him personally by name and was shown to be traumatized by him in SM64: Meet the Bowser. This episode, in general, showed him living his best life, with him seeming to see himself as a pretty "kickass" guy in general. This could easily be seen as his outlook up to that point and beyond. He was regularly hanging out with Mario (whose bad habits at the time likely rubbed off on him a bit). While Mario's stupidity did annoy Bowser on occasions, he would still go on many adventures with him, and even started a cooking show with the plumber (in which he was shown to develop great cooking skills, and is possibly one of the best chefs in the series, despite things usually going wrong in the episodes). He also developed a love for chicken nuggets in DerpTV: Mushroom Kingdom's Got Talent.

However, his time living in the moment proved him to be even more immature. He was a terrible father, often neglecting his kids in order to hang out with Mario. In R64: Son Of A Bowser, Bowser is shown incapable of taking care of his own kids. His own son, Bowser Jr., is shown living with his great grandmother, Granny Koopa; and in said episode, Bowser gets so annoyed with him that he ditches him with Mario and immediately goes back to his partying lifestyle, only stopping when he realizes what his grandma would do if anything were to happen to Junior. Surprisingly, Mario is the better parent in this episode, as he actually attempts to find Junior and is the one who convinces Bowser to help find him a second time after he goes missing again. Bowser also completely neglects his other kids, as Mario finds Roy Koopa completely alone somewhere near Club Pingas, not being looked after by anyone. He wasn't even sure of how many kids he had, as in said episode, he states that he has "5 or 7 of them." Bowser does eventually start looking after the rest of his kids in the castle; however, he again neglects them in SMG4: Stupid Mario World, in which he doesn't care that Bowser Jr. is being bullied by Mario and chooses to play in a bouncy castle with him instead of taking care of his children. In SMG4: War Of The Fat Italians 2018, he whoops Junior because he thought that he stole his chicken nuggets, and in SMG4: The Mario Mafia, he uses all of his kids for a dangerous Mafia to spite Mario for not inviting him to a party. Despite all of his flaws, however, Bowser is shown to be a good person overall, who is simply misguided and lost. Even Peach, who had been getting kidnapped constantly by the Koopa, says this herself in SM64: Meet the Bowser. By Season 7, Bowser, despite his lackluster parenting skills, was primarily showcased to just be a nice, chill guy who could easily get along with most of the cast.

Bowser eventually does mature and attempts to better himself. For instance, he stops kidnapping Peach almost entirely in 2016. In SMG4: New Year, New Mario, Bowser's New Years' Resolution is to become a better father. However, like most of these resolutions, it did not get followed through. Bowser doesn't actually start becoming a better parent until SMG4: Bowser Loses Custody Of His Children, in which he receives a very rude awakening and loses custody of his kids after leaving them alone for three days straight to go fishing with Mario. Mario decides to help Bowser get his kids back by going to a parenting class, in which he has to pass in order to see them again. And while the episode does end off with him neglecting his kids again, Bowser can be seen actually spending time with his kids throughout the rest of Season 10 and beyond, even though his attempts usually go terribly wrong. This can be seen in episodes such as SMG4: The E G G, in which he can be seen getting popsicles with Bowser Jr. He is again seen spending time with him in SMG4: The Demon Among Us, in which he's teaching him how to drive his kart, SMG4: Mario Gets【Woke】, where he can be seen pushing Junior on a swing, and SMG4: Stupid Bowser's Fury, in which Bowser goes to his son's play to try and support him. And while his efforts to have happy moments with his kids do usually backfire, it's clear that Bowser is putting in actual effort to become a better father, which is more than can be said for most people, and especially the other parents in this series.

Nowadays, Bowser is fairly mature. He's finally gotten over his unhealthy obsession with Peach, as he's now even been shown to be able to stay in the same room with her without wanting to kidnap her. He's gotten over his days of parading his "swag" throughout the streets and traumatizing celebrities. While Bowser was also still characterized as a nice, chill guy, he's now far more mature and easily adaptable than his more reckless, immature counterpart of the past, and he is shown to easily get along with pretty much all of the crew. He can still be a bit childish every once in a while, he'll still hang out with Mario sometimes for old times' sake, and he still loves his chicken nuggets, but he's a lot more tame; he's a responsible father now. His days of idiocy are over.

Powers and Abilities[]

Bowser breathing fire in Fury Mode

  • Fire Breath: Bowser can breathe fire much like his Nintendo counterpart.
  • Racing Intuition: He is also apparently a good racer, as he was able to outlast most of the other racers in R64: Stupid Mario Kart. However, he was eventually defeated alongside Mario when Fishy Boopkins spread banana peels across the track and his kart fell on top of him, and later by Link when he blew him into a pit of lava.
  • Healing: His player character in Mushrooms & Morons was a medic, with magical healing powers.
  • Fury Form: In SMG4: Stupid Bowser's Fury, he turned into Fury Bowser after getting pissed off by Bowser Jr.'s play. In this form, Bowser used stronger versions of his normal abilities and can also spit out black goop to render objects useless and harms others when touched. The angrier he became, the larger he would be. Once defeated, he would have no memory of the very thing that made him mad in the first place.
  • Fabulousness: In SM64: Meet the Bowser, he accidentally destroyed the planet due to his sheer fabulousness.
  • Black Magic: In games, as well as some episodes, it was said that he knows some black magic, and is one of the most skilled users in canon. While not seen too often in the series, Bowser appears to have kept all of his skills in general, and it could explain some of Bowser's abilities, such as his flight (as that's how Bowser is able to fly in the games), how he cloned himself once, as well as his magic portal.
  • Superhuman Strength: Due to his size, Bowser is incredibly strong, being able to lift things many times bigger than him. While he doesn't usually show it due to his more tame, passive nature in the show, Bowser has been shown to be physically stronger than Mario. Such is the case in SMG4: Mario Battle Royale, in which Bowser easily overpowers both Mario and SMG4, and would've beat them if it weren't for the forcefield storm. In SM64: Mario Gets a Nintendo Switch, in which Mario and Bowser fight each other multiple times; the two are shown to scale to each other very comfortably in terms of fighting skills and strength, and Bowser is even shown beating the plumber in a one-on-one fight. Bowser also squished the plumber and threw him around, (accidentally) abusing him in SM64: Cooking with Mario and Bowser 3. Like most of the classic characters (especially Mario, Luigi, SMG4, and Steve), Bowser has been shown to have a very devastating punch, though he likely uses it the least out of the cast. A prominent example of this was in SM64 Bloopers: Shell Shocked, in which he punched SMG3, a powerful sorcerer and meme guardian (though he wasn't well trained with those powers at the time) with similar durability and strength to the rest of the stronger cast members, far into the sky. He has also knocked down Mario in the past. Bowser, in general, also scales to many other powerful characters, the most obvious being Mario. However, he also scales to others such as Ganondorf in SM64 Bloopers: Can Ganondorf Come Out To Play? and Buff Luigi in SM64: Meet the Luigi, who outscales Melony. However, arguably Bowser's most impressive strength feat in the series happens in one of the failed endings near the end of Mario Simulator Interactive. If the "Mega Mushroom" option is chosen, Bowser will place a Mega Mushroom on a baseball bat to use against a giant Mario (who has also consumed a Mega Mushroom). Bowser not only has the strength to carry and swing this giant bat like a normal one, but also hits Mario so hard that he not only crashes through the wall of the metallic interior of the volcano base AND the hard rock of the actual volcano itself, but hard enough to where his giant body continues to go flying far into horizon at around plane speeds (547-575 mph), and arguably even faster. This feat is made even more impressive when taking Mario's base weight into consideration, as well as the fact that Bowser is shown to be able to do this with relative ease, not showing any signs of struggling, and does this purely in his BASE form. This feat alone would make Bowser one of the physically strongest characters in the cast, even if he rarely shows it.
    • Giant Size and Strength: Throughout the show, Bowser has been shown to grow bigger and greater and size in strength on specific occasions. He has this ability much more prominently in the games, in which he is shown to be able to do this as a defense mechanism, or if he gets mad enough in general, even without going into his Fury form. Doing this would undoubtedly make him much stronger and more durable than he is in his base form. One notable example of Bowser doing this in the series is in Super Mario 64 Bloopers: Mario's Guide to Defeating Bowser, in which Bowser grows exponentially in size, to which Mario declares is due to his "hacking." It is important to note that Bowser becomes much bigger than the normal Giant Bowser does in the games.
  • Superhuman Durability: Like most of the other characters in the show (and especially the classic characters), Bowser has been shown to be incredibly durable, being able to take the various insane threats that were common in early era episodes. His strong, spikey shell and tough skin has protected him from many dangers in the past, such as in SM64: Meet the Luigi, in which Luigi tried to attack Bowser, and the impact caused from him charging into him was enough to kill the plumber in his buff form (who was able to defeat prime Fierce Deity Melony in SMG4: MARIO BALLIN?!?!). This was also shown more recently in SMG4: Mario Steals The Constitution, in which a shot from the Obama Prism, which has the power to completely evaporate the entirety of a human head (including the skull) completely bounces off of his shell, leaving no marks. (To put that in perspective, a powerful blast of SMG4's meme energy is able to kill an average human in SMG4 Doesn't Meme For 1 Second, but still leaves behind the skeleton, which implies that the Obama Prism's blast is more powerful than standalone meme energy, and Bowser's shell was firm enough to not only tank it but reflect it like it was nothing.) Also, later in the episode, Bowser is seen tanking full-body hits from a powered up Obama Prism, coming out completely unscathed. He was also able to easily survive and tank missile blasts from the E-1234, (an enemy that has the power to kill Sonic, who has godlike durability) in Sonic the Derphog: Egg and Peach. He also becomes more durable in his giant form, as stated previously.
    • Black Hole Survival: In Super Mario Galaxy, Bowser is shown to be incredibly durable, even surviving a black hole; and while it's debatable whether or not the exact events of this game have happened in the series (as there is evidence supporting both sides), considering that SMG4 Bowser is still just a mentally altered Canon Bowser, he should still also have this ability here. This is further backed up by the fact that Bowser scales to many characters that are also immune to black holes in the series.
  • Superhuman Speed: Like many of the characters (especially the classic ones), Bowser has been shown to be incredibly fast. While there aren't many times in which he's used his speed in the series, he has a few times in the series. One of the most notable examples of this was in Sonic the Derphog: Egg and Peach, in which he is shown running almost as quickly as Sonic, who's speed can scale anywhere from Mach 1+ to FTL. In SM64: Mario Gets a Nintendo Switch, he is shown capable of running even faster than Mario, who is also capable of running faster than sound in Super Mario 64, as implied by Koopa the Quick when he talks about his "Mach 1 shoes" after collecting his second star (though Mario might not have been running at this speed in this moment). In Super Mario 64 Bloopers: Bad Stars, Bowser is also shown moving relatively to the Ztar, who is a dark version of a Power Star. Power Stars are stated to be able to "cross the universe," and are shown flying Mario through the universe in seconds in Super Mario Galaxy. This would make Bowser MFTL+, assuming that Ztar was moving at his full speed (which he likely already is anyways, considering that he was able to collect these anyways in SM64, and also still scales to them in Galaxy along with Mario and everyone else). This is further backed up by SM64 Bloopers: Shoot to the Observatory in the Sky, in which Bowser is shown to scale to the Lumas on Rosalina's Comet Observatory, which are shown to be immature Power Stars, and are stated to also be able to cross galaxies with ease.
  • Flight: As seen in some episodes of the series, Bowser appears to have the ability to fly, even without the Koopa Clown Car. The most notable example of this is when he got high at the end of R64: Princess Capturing Simulator.
  • Teleportation: In Super Mario 64, Bowser is shown to have the ability to teleport. Since the SMG4 Universe canonically takes place inside of a Super Mario 64 emulator, Bowser should also have the ability to teleport, and has likely done so in episodes.
  • Energy Blast: In Super Mario 64 Bloopers: The Babysitters, Bowser charged up an energy blast that incinerated Luigi's head (the latter ended up later one-shotting an eldritch beast, which would imply that Bowser could also defeat the monster).
  • Sub-Zero Tolerance, Vacuum Adaptation, and Anaerobic Functioning: In SM64 Bloopers: Shoot to the Observatory in the Sky, Bowser was shown flying around in space with no protective garments, and was just fine.
  • Masterful Engineer/Architect: Bowser appears to have some of the intellect and skill that his Nintendo counterpart is known for, as he was shown to be able to create a perfectly functioning airship in mere seconds from a bunch of seemingly random parts in SMG4: War Of The Fat Italians 2022. He was also able to successfully create functioning robots in older episodes such as Super Mario 64 Bloopers: 4 Clones 1 Italian.

Weaknesses[]

  • Sensitivity: Despite being very strong, Bowser is mentally weak, and can become very depressed if insulted. He also seemed to be a frequent victim of torture in SMG4 Season 10. He is especially sensitive when anyone points out that he's a horrible father, which usually ends with him running off crying.
  • Low Versatility: Bowser has had his fair share of beat downs, such as numerous attacks from Princess Peach as well as being slapped into far distances. He had even shown to back down from fights from people like Luigi in SMG4: High School Mario and Anti-Shroomy, showing that he tends to flee from those who are deemed bigger threats than him.

Criminal Record[]

  • Kidnapping: He had kidnapped Princess Peach countless times. In SMG4: Mario Preschool, he was accused of kidnapping children, but he was innocent.
  • Child Abuse and Neglect: Bowser had stated various times that he neglects his children, and in SMG4: Bowser Loses Custody Of His Children, he lost custody of them and had to take parenting classes to regain it.
  • Terrorism: In SMG4: Stupid Bowser's Fury, he turns into Fury Bowser after getting extremely agitated by the cringiness of the play Bowser Jr. was in and attacks Mushroom City.
  • Various Offences: In SM64: ṩṩἔᾗмὄḋᾗᾄʀ 7 (TOAST edition), a policeman listed numerous crimes Bowser was being charged for, which include: 18 cases of vehicular manslaughter, 9 charges of illegal destruction of (inaudible noises), possession of military explosives, and lastly, speeding in a school zone and running over students in the process, and in SSENMODNAR DELUXE - 1 MILLION SUB SPECIAL, a judge listed more offences, which include murder, destruction, pillaging, and littering.

Trivia[]

  • Bowser is the longest-serving major character in the SMG4 series, after Luigi's promotion into the main cast with Mario and SMG4, after Toad reduced into an occasional member of SMG4's Gang in SMG4 Season 9 and after Princess Peach’s retirement from the gang in SMG4 Season 8.
  • He can successfully copy Peach and Mario's voice.
  • He hates SMG3, but not whenever he lives with him.
  • He's rarely the actual antagonist in episodes, contrary to his true nature of his mainstream self. One notable exception is in Mario Simulator Interactive! (500k Subscribers).
  • He is somehow able to fly without using the Koopa Clown Car.
  • He loves Justin Bieber, just like Toad and Yoshi, but in Super Mario 64 Guides: Mario's Guide to Defeating Bowser 2.0, when Bieber's song was played on the radio, Bowser didn't like his music. He shouted "I'm trying D: AHHHH MY EARSS!EFRW."
  • The Adventures of Mario and Luigi is probably Bowser's biggest role as an antagonist, with Bowser's appearance not being until the end of SM64: The Adventures Of Mario And Luigi Ep 2 after the defeat of his son, Bowser Jr., and the downfall of his airship as the "surprise" main antagonist after he took over Peach's Castle to proclaim it as the new Bowser's Castle.
    • In SM64: The Adventures Of Mario And Luigi Ep 4, he was in love with Princess Daisy.
  • He has a Justin Bieber cutout, which he makes love to as shown in SM64: ṩṩἔᾗмὄḋᾗᾄʀ 6.64(100k special Qna Edition).
  • According to Mario in SMG4: Stupid Mario Odyssey 2, he implanted a tracking device in Bowser's ass because he was tired of him stealing Peach.
  • As revealed in SM64: Cooking with Bowser & Mario 2!, he loves melons.
  • He hates Super Mario Twilight and its sequel because he gets sick and vomits as shown in R64: Son of a bowser.
  • He has been banned twice from YouTube.
  • He loves chicken nuggets.
  • Bowser appears to be far-sighted, as can be shown in SMG4 Christmas 2018: The Most Important Thing, where he wore reading glasses when playing on his Nintendo Switch. However, this could just be an easter egg.
  • Despite the "So Long, Gay Bowser!" meme, Bowser revealed that he was not gay in SMG4: Mario Waits in Line For Some Spaghetti.
  • During SMG4 Season 9, Bowser commonly mentioned how he should be a better father to Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings. This would ultimately reach into an episode of itself in SMG4 Season 10, in SMG4: Bowser Loses Custody Of His Children. Later, in SMG4: The E G G and SMG4: The Demon Among Us, Bowser was seen spending time with Bowser Jr, meaning he is becoming a better father.
  • In recent seasons, Bowser would often mostly appear in his Garry's Mod model, rather than his Nintendo 64 model.
  • He'll turn into Fury Bowser if people make him EXTREMELY angry, which is a reference to Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. How he does this without Bowser Jr.'s paint is unknown.
  • He owns a cafe as shown in SMG4: The Mario Café, but it is unaware if it is still running or not.
  • He drastically decreased in appearances in Season 11 where the points where Peach is a more major character than him. These problems are amplified in Season 12 as he has only appeared 10 appearance, which most of them are cameo. Later he got major appearance in SMG4: Mario Does It To Em.
  • In SMG4: Mario Babies, his infant self (Baby Bowser) was the Koopa Kid model from one of the Mario Party games instead of Baby Bowser model from Yoshi's Island or Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time.
    • This may be due to either a Baby Bowser model being unavailable in GMOD, or so as not to confuse him with Bowser Jr.
  • According to Luke Lerdwichagul, the in-universe reason for Bowser's lack of appearance in the series is because he is raising his kids.
  • Bowser canonically has hair, as mentioned during the rap battle from SM64: War Of The Fat Italians 2016 (900k Special), where after Bowser is defeated, he yells "I can't believe I shaved my legs for this!"
