Wow I'm seeing those lights again... I should lay off the beer.

—Yoshi

Dreams is the second episode to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel.

Bowser, Yoshi and Goomba make their debuts in this episode. It was aired on June 3, 2011.

Synopsis[]

Mario eats these mushrooms, which give him weird dreams.

Plot[]

Some green mushrooms[]

Sleeping on the castle's roof, Mario dreams of spaghetti and his brother, as well as his audience watching him. He wakes up, and finds himself to be hungry, wondering what there is on the roof for him to eat. He sees some green mushrooms scattered along a trail, and comments on their appearance as suspicious. Ignoring himself, he eats them anyway, and starts to feel weird. According to him, the mushrooms tasted like Yoshi's babies, and desires for more. He approaches Yoshi himself on the roof and asks him for food. Yoshi informs him that he found green mushrooms growing on the side of the toilet, and Mario only now found out about said toilet. Mario asks Yoshi how much he has, and Yoshi tells him to open his mouth so he can feed him multiple mushrooms, and then leaves to sell drugs to little kids.

Mario starts to feel the effects of the mushrooms and approaches the castle tower's wall to hurl for a few minutes. He comments that his stomach feels like pasta, and as a solution, he decides to ignore it instead. He jumps off the roof and goes into the castle. Mario comes across Toad and asks him about his day, to which he answers that it was great until Mario appeared. Mario comments that his stomach hurts, and he feels drowsy, and Toad thinks that he has AIDS. Ignoring him, Mario falls asleep.

The first dream[]

Mario comes into the castle to converse with Toad again, and he once again asks how Toad is doing. Toad answers him by attacking him and telling Mario that he hates him. Toad also adds that he has hated Mario from the beginning of all the bloopers they have been in together, referring to all the bloopers on YouTube in general rather than just SMG4's, which Mario responds to by notifying him that he thought they were friends. Mario tries to remedy the situation by telling Toad that he loves him, but Toad says that he still hates Mario. As Toad kills Mario, the former mentions to the latter that he'll see him in hell.

Mario wakes up, and impulsively threatens to beat Toad up out of defense for what happened in the dream, and realizes Toad isn't trying to attack him. Verifying the events of the dream, he asks Toad if he likes him, with Mario thinking he does, and Toad answers him by saying that he doesn't. Mario leaves to go to Bob-omb Battlefield, and Toad wonders why it took him so long to figure out that he hates him.

At the beginning of Bob-omb Battlefield, Mario admires the scenery and concept of the level in that he can kill living bombs, as well as the general appearance of the level. Mario, unexpectedly, starts to fall asleep again in the middle of the entrance.

The second dream[]

Mario wonders where he is, with him positioned directly up against a wall. Upon a full focus, he finds that the level's textures have been corrupted, and comments that it looks like it's been "colored by hippies to make it look peaceful" and starts throwing out his bias against the pink Bob-ombs. Coming across the Chain Chomp, he finds that it has been transformed into a Pac-Chomp and enthusiastically greets it, also commenting that "Pac-Man has gone mental" and asks about Mrs. Pac-Man. Finding how different the level looks, he wonders about King Bob-omb. While climbing up a ramp to reach King Bob-omb's mountain, Mario notices how slow he's going, with Lakitu commenting that he's almost to the top. On his way while scaling up the mountain, Mario sees a Bob-omb and throws it down, telling it that he'll see it in hell. He also sees the giant steel balls rolling down the mountain and questions them. Finally, at the top, Mario challenges King Bob-omb to another fight. King Bob-omb warns Mario that he has grown stronger, and Mario mocks him, thinking that he's 200 years old, when in reality, King Bob-omb is 80 years old. Inevitably, King Bob-omb throws Mario higher up than usual, leading him to fall at a greater height than usual.

Before Mario hits the ground, however, he wakes back up, and checks he is still alive for if his experience was real, proclaiming that he now has a phobia of old people. He then takes his leave from Bob-omb Battlefield, traveling to Jolly Roger Bay.

The third dream[]

At Jolly Roger Bay, Mario comments on the environment as "peaceful". Lakitu, who is spectating him, returns his statement by telling Mario that it isn't peaceful when he is skinny-dipping in it. Ignoring it, Mario approaches the water, and then is suddenly forced to sleep again, this time actually expecting a dream. In the third dream, Mario is at the bottom of a dry Jolly Roger Bay, being completely drained of its water. Mario comments on it, and Lakitu returns his remark yet again by pointing out that it ran away because it was dominated by Mario's body. Mario ignores his shakiness once again, remarking how Jolly Roger Bay isn't the same without any water. He then scuttles up to one of the clams and crashes into one of them, and also comments on the shipwreck that is now floating in the air due to the lack of water. Mario slides down the side of the land within the bay and reaches one of the lower surfaces of the bay, and then looks behind him to investigate the bubbles being emitted from the seaweed, along with the now-airborne eels, admiring how it is possible without water. He wonders how it is possible for the eel to even remain alive, knowing that fish need water. Mario then approaches the jet stream area normally requiring Metal Mario or Wario to obtain the star, and obtains said star, admiring its ease compared to the normal method.

After the dream, Mario wakes up to find himself submerged in the water and is joyful to see Jolly Roger Bay back to its original form with all of its water, saying that he missed it. As Mario then proceeds to swim in the water within the bay, Lakitu continues from his statement, saying that he also misses when he wasn't the player's cameraman. Having enough of Jolly Roger Bay, Mario decides to visit another location.

The fourth dream[]

Mario visits Bowser's Lair where he casually greets Bowser and tells him to simply stay still while he thinks of something, and then falls asleep for the last time. In the fourth dream, Mario falls into Bowser's Lair to see a giant Bowser. What with his sheer size, Mario desperately asks for someone to help him, getting nothing in response. Bowser ends up driving Mario off the edge of the platform, only for him to somehow rise back up again. Mario asks Bowser if he had eaten anything particularly fattening, greatly angering Bowser as he ends up breathing fire onto Mario, leading to him remarking that "his butt smells like BBQ". Mario continues running to escape the giant Bowser as he asks for help again, ending up running off the edge of the platform again and falling all the way down. Mario is then given clarity as he wakes up from the dream from the real Bowser setting him on fire to urge him to fight. With Mario, not deciding to, however, Bowser decides to kill himself by throwing himself off the edge of the platform by his own volition, giving Mario the Power Star for his level and the Wing Cap, and then returning to Peach's castle.

Peach's Release[]

Mario falls down in front of the castle and sends the star to the stained-glass painting with Peach, freeing her from inside. Mario questions the logic as he says that he doesn't understand how her entrapment works, technically being trapped in a wall the whole time. Mario approaches Peach, now having descended between two Toads, and the two greet each other. Peach thanks Mario for pulling her out of the wall, despite Mario having not done anything to warrant the event in reality, and then he falls asleep. The two Toads plot to steal Mario's clothes.

The dream transitions to a sequence where Mario falls from the sky and onto the point of the tower, killing him, as well as brutally stabbing his penis. It is followed by Mario's awakening, realizing his clothes were gone in a panic. In the final sequence, Mario is finally brought back to reality while he is calling the blooper bad in his sleep. Mario wakes up and describes his dream as weird, begging Yoshi to listen to his story. Yoshi instead denies and tells Mario to go away. Mario questions if Yoshi wants to know, and he tells Mario to instead "jump in a pipe". Mario ignores the situation and instead goes to search for Chinese food, jumping off the roof of the castle and all the way down to the ground. Mario goes into his kart and ends up causing his kart to fly up into the sky and then land in the water as he thanks the audience for watching the blooper.
