Gary the Snail is the pet snail of SpongeBob SquarePants. Gary has a pink shell with five blue dots and a red curved line on each side. Like every other snail, he moves slowly, and often has to be carried by SpongeBob if they need to move fast.
Personality[]
The only word that Gary can say is "meow". Nevertheless, Gary can also change the tone in which he speaks this word to show his mood; Gary will speak "meow" monotonously if he is feeling bored or indifferent, while he can let out a small roar or growl if he is feeling angry or threatened ("The Bandits of the Wilderness").
Biography[]
Gary is the pet snail of SpongeBob SquarePants. They currently live in SpongeBob's House at 124 Conch Street, Bikini Bottom.
Gary first appeared in the season 1 episode "The Bandits of the Wilderness", in which he is taken (at SpongeBob's request) by Mr. Krabs, along with SpongeBob and Squidward, on a tour to the Crossroads Ships Graveyard, the final resting place for ships sunk during Operation Crossroads. At the end of the episode, they are taken hostage near the wreck of the USS Saratoga by the bandit Ribert Ramshackle.
