Augustus "Gus" Porter is a major character in the Disney Channel animated series The Owl House.
He is a witch student at Hexside, as well as one of Luz's best friends.
He is voiced by Issac Ryan Brown, who also plays Booker Baxter on the Disney Channel sitcom Raven's Home, Wade on Kim Possible 2019 live action movie and voices Bingo on Disney Junior's Puppy Dog Pals. As a kid, he is voiced by Carter Jones.
Appearance[]
Gus is a young boy with black skin and dark brown hair with lighter shades due to age, and has pointy ears. At Hexside, he wears his uniform with cyan sleeves and leggings. His casual wear, consists of a green tunic with white sleeves, a black belt, black tights and brown boots.
As of "Clouds on the Horizon", he now wears a light blue tunic with a white undershirt with puffy sleeves and light grey cuffs, blue tights, a pink belt around his waist, and burgundy boots. He also wears the power amplifier that belonged to Graye around his neck.
Personality[]
Gus is shown to be very enthusiastic and optimistic, especially when it comes to his love of the human realm. He claims to be an "expert" on human culture, even though he doesn't know a lot of the names of his "treasures". While he is sometimes oblivious, he still has a heart, and he still cares about those he's close with. He is also shown to be sympathetic, like how he was calm about talking to Hunter about him running away from the Emperor's Coven.
As a kid, and even so now, he is also shown to be very insecure about his illusion abilities. This would cause him to go into a state of insecurity that casts out an illusion that mocks him about his gullibility.

Powers and abilities[]
- Magic: Gus is able to cast magic by drawing a spell circle with his finger. Thus far, he seems only to be capable of doing illusion magic which he is extremely adept at.
- His illusion magic also causes him to go into a state caused by stress, allowing his magic to conjure realistic illusions that cannot be dispelled by anybody other than him. Gus normally has difficulty undoing these illusions but with help calming down, he can revert them easily.
- Using illusion magic, Gus can conjure up non-physical copies of himself to accompany friends and even force enemies to relive their worst memories, as shown with Adrian Grey and Belos.
