Hideo Kojima (小島 秀夫 Kojima Hideo, born August 24, 1963) is a minor character in the SMG4 series.
He is a Japanese video game designer, screenwriter, director and game producer. He is probably best known for making the Metal Gear series. He makes multiple cameos as a recurring Easter Egg, notably throughout The Anime Arc. He is also the final antagonist of Season 10, being the main antagonist of SMG4: If Mario Was In... Cyberpunk 2077.

He is seen hit by Saiko Bichitaru's hammer.

He appears as one of the other people who accidentally got killed by Mario early on.

He appears in a former A.S.S. building (in the mists of being cleared out due to the A.S.S.'s disbandment) telling an A.S.S. Chain Chomp that it is no longer needed. It naturally attacks him due to not liking that.

He is seen being thrown at Godzilla.

His false version is used by Francis to distract SMG4 while wearing a colorful wig.

He appears at Desti's funeral.

In an alternate timeline where Hal Monitor is a criminal, he is about to cut open the gate to commemorate the opening of a hospital when Mr. Monitor knocks his scissors away.
SMG4: Stupid Mario Arcade[]
He is seen waving the flag in the Excitebike game Mario plays, and eventually gets run over by the racers.
SMG4: If Mario was in... Fall Guys[]
He is one of the contestants. He is later one of the eliminated contestants being made into a costume
SMG4: If Mario Was In... Cyberpunk 2077[]
His first non-cameo role. He kidnapped Eggdog because he wanted to make a game called Nintendogs 2077 based on it. When Mario and Johnny confronted him in his office, he transformed into Steven Armstrong, which overpowered Johnny. He was instantly defeated after Mario hacked Johnny and turned him into a dwarf version of John Wick. After seeing the trio drive off, he was forced to delay Nintendogs 2077.

After Mario gamble all his money away, Hideo appears and challenged him to flip his red square in a game of ddakji, in which he failed and was given a slap. Kojima then gave him a card with a circle, a triangle, and a square on it, trying to recruit him into the game.
