Incidental 116,[1] also known as the snail doctor, is an incidental character who first appears in the episode "I Was a Teenage Gary." He is classified as a secondary character-type incidental.
Appearance[]
He is a purple fish with a slightly overweight midsection and faded blue lips who wears a white buttoned coat, teal pants, thick light blue glasses, and a light blue head mirror.
Snail doctor[]
He has thinner arms with normal hands that have four fingers each, and he wears light orange arm length latex gloves.
Personality[]
Despite being an incidental character, Incidental 116 appears to normally have a consistent personality, he was originally created as a minor character before becoming an incidental. He is shown to have a generally friendly and somewhat patient personality although he has shown some signs of annoyance towards SpongeBob due to his childish or obsessive behavior. He is also shown to be pretty knowledgeable, for he is a doctor, but he has had a few unprofessional moments throughout the series as well such as when he refused to give Gary the Snail the Snail plasma himself due to being "too squeamish."
Names[]
Incidental 116 has been given five generic one time names throughout the franchise:
- In "Once Bitten," an orange snail doctor is named Dr. Gill Gilliam.
- In Behold, No Cavities!, a green Incidental 116 is named Dr. Gill.
- In a June 30, 2015 Latin American Spanish Bob Esponja Facebook post, Incidental 116 is named Doctor Purpura.[2]
- In "Nick Artist Doodle ft SpongeBob," a redesigned green Incidental 116 is named Dr Fin.
