Incidental 89[1] is an incidental character who first appears in the episode "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy." He is likely classified as an elderly-type incidental.
Appearance[]

He is an elderly gray fish with many liver spots and a light tan dorsal fin who wears glasses and light blue checkered pants, with pink mouse slippers and a cane. In his older appearances, his dorsal fin and the lenses of his glasses had black outlines instead of the current orangish-tan outline for the dorsal fin and teal outline for the lenses of his glasses, the button on his pants was also colored the same shade of blue as his pants instead of its current darker blue color, and his slippers were a more pale shade of pink.

Incidental 89 has made a few appearances throughout the series. He has remained absent from the series for years ever since his debut in "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy." He then made a comeback in the season 9 episode "Mall Girl Pearl." After another short absence, he then makes another comeback in the series spin-off, The Patrick Star Show, in the episode "Bummer Jobs" and later makes his main series comeback in the season 13 episode "Say Awww!"

Incidental 89 struggling to carry his groceries.
Patrick was responsible for bagging his groceries at Scuttle-N-Save, but he ends up putting all of Incidental 89's groceries in one bag which made it hard to the elder to carry. Patrick then tosses an anvil on top of Incidental 89's grocery bag which causes him to fall through the floor.

He is seen as a grandpa at Pappy Farms and is part of a group shot with Incidental 166, Incidental 80, and Incidental 85.
