Jason, formerly known as the Copper Guard, is a major character of Crossover Time series, initially depicted as an antagonist. He was the right-hand man of Toffee and the former head of the Villains. Jason was presumed to be the nephew of Toffee and, as such, was dedicated to his cause of ending all wild magic in the realm, but in reality, he is the latest version of the Copper Guard grimwalkers created by Grim Gloom to serve him faithfully in his mad quest to end all life in the New York City.

After his promotion to head of the Villains, the Copper Guard acts as the main enforcer for King Nixel and antagonist to the residents of Gar's Hero Supply & Bodega. However, a chance encounter with Maddie Turner and the meeting of a mysterious pokemon named Redcary, who chooses Jason as his partner, gives Jason a new perspective and a glimpse of life outside of the Villains. This soon culminates with Jason learning the truth of his origins. Upon this discovery, and realizing he can never return to his lifelong home, he abandons King Nixel and the Villains and retreats to New York City Junior High School to evade the emperor's reach. There, he finds acquaintances in Junior High School's students, and after coming to terms with his identity, Jason makes it his goal to help them stand against King Nixel's plan to wipe out the Earth.

Appearance[]

Jason is a 12-year-old grey wolf, with brownish-gray fur, along his chin, down to his neck and stomach, are colored in a much lighter shade of gray. He also possesses a long bushy tail, a pair of pointy ears with the insides being colored in a light gray, defined, sharp-looking black eyebrows, eyes with bright yellow sclera and reddish-brown pupils, and a black nose. He has a notch on his left ear and scars on his right cheek.

During his time in the emperor's court, Jason wore an ivory-colored hooded cloak with a cooper triangle clasp, like other members of the Villains. Under the cloak was a dark orange long-sleeved tunic with a golden-orange short-sleeved shirt over it and a dark brown belt, black leggings, dark brown gloves, and boots. He wore a golden pauldron on his left shoulder and a pointed two-faceted mask with a thin eye-slot across it. Underneath his tunic, he had a blueish-gray shirt and golden chest armor with brown straps.

After joining the heroes, Jason wears a collared olive green shirt bearing a cross-stitch in the center, as well as a brown belt bag. He keeps the same gloves, leggings, and boots from his Cooper Guard uniform.

Personality[]

Jason is laid-back, easy-going, and likes to make quips towards the people he battles with. He is also shown to have an endearing side, taking a liking towards Danielle for her cute nature. In spite of this, he takes his job seriously and always makes sure to follow his boss's orders. He might be quite arrogant and obnoxious, as Misha calls him "a brat". He is apparently a "genius teen prodigy" among the members of the Villains, implying him to be intelligent and resourceful at magic, which serves as the reason for his high rank despite his age.

Jasob becomes insecure about his status as a Grimwalker and begs Maddie not to tell anyone since he knows about her secret about her interaction with Toffee as he understands the situation that she's in compared to his own, but also empathizes and worries about her well-being as they keep each other's secrets to themselves.

Jason's relationship with Maddie has also improved significantly, as he now relies on and trusts her to help him keep their friends safe, until Maddie tells Jason that she wants to keep him safe as well and that he's become a part of her family, which causes him to break down crying, meaning that he feels the same way about her.

After Redcary gives his life to save Jason's, he becomes despondent as he mourns his pokemon, but insists on finishing the fight they started for Redcary's sake.
