Samuel "Sam" Goldberg is a major character of the Crossover Time series, and one of the two main protagonists (alongside Coolermaster) of its spin-off series Guards N' R****ds.

Most of the time, Sam acts as the straight yet an honorable man of the Guards N' R****ds duo, as he is typically a no-nonsense, hard-working, and grounded individual. However, he does display a noticeable level of reluctance and frustration with both his job and his coworkers; particularly with his partner, Cooler.
Compared to Cooler, Sam is far more intelligent, usually being the one to come up with the plans during a situation, with varying degrees of success. Despite his annoyance with his partner, Sam will sometimes use Cooler's idiotic habits to work with his plans. Such examples include announcing a fake "Cooler Party" in order to lure Cooler to where Sam is after he and Sergeant Mark are captured by the Butt Ninja and his boss; as well as convincing Swag to go flirt with a random woman on the beach so Sam can enjoy his vacation in peace.
While Sam can sometimes come off a bitter and spiteful man due to his frustrations, he does occasionally show a more sympathetic side, such as when he was worried about Cooler dying after he is assaulted by the Butt Ninja, as well as when he feels guilty for previously yelling at Cooler for ruining their vacation. There are also times when he willingly joins in on some of Cooler's antics in order to try to relax.

- According to Coolermaster, Sam's full name is Christopher Gordman as shown in Guards N' R****ds: Le Train Breach. It is unknown if it is his real name or not.
- Sam is one of the few major characters to have a surname. The others are Danielle Garcia, Cassie Payne, Martin Porritt, Gina Shell, Maudie Ferris, Froggy Hopkins, Peggy Spengler, Evie Brinkerhoff, and Robot Jones.
- Not only that, but Sam is also one of the only 7 characters who got their surname after their debuts or wasn't from Cartoon Network and Disney Channel Lore, with the other being Peggy Spengler, Robot Jones, Leona, Susie, Bert and Tim Lindner.
