Sandals[3][4][5][6], also known as Incidental 156[7][8] is an incidental character who first appears in the episode "Patty Hype." He is classified as a secondary character-type incidental.
Appearance[]
He is an olive-green-colored fish with dark yellow-orange lips, light olive-green fins, and has dark olive-green spots on the side of his head. He wears purple shorts with white flowers and light blue sandals, hence his name. In his older appearances, his lips, dorsal fin, and tail fin all had a black outline instead of the default orange outline for the lips and the default olive green outlines for the dorsal and tail fin.
Personality[]
While Sandals is an incidental, he has been usually shown to have a consistent personality in the second and third seasons. He is shown to usually be a generally happy, positive, and somewhat meek fish. He now currently has inconsistent voices and personalities like most incidentals have.
Names[]
Incidental 156's most consistent generic name is Sandals, it is also the only name he has been given in the franchise. It was used for him in the credits of "Clams" and "Sun Bleached."
Bio[]
He is a new player for the rival team, The Toon Tomahawks. He joined in the Season 2 premiere, "Army Of Ghosts". He replaced two former players; Ash Kuropato and Squilliam Fancyson.

Trivia[]
- He is very picky about what he eats, as seen in the episode "Clams."
- He is allergic to pickles and will swell up and explode if he eats them.[9] Despite that, he does not mind raining pickles in The Crossover Time Movie: Heroes on the Water.
- In the episode "The Smoking Peanut," he has a Cockney-British accent. This is also the only episode from seasons 2-3 where he does not have his consistent voice and personality.
- The shorts that he wears are similar to Patrick's shorts since they both have Hawaiian flowers on them. The only difference is size and color. They are the same shorts like the ones that Incidental 13 wears.
- His shorts and tail fin are similar to Scooter's, but their other features and overall appearances are distinct from each other.
- He has been voiced by three different English-language voice actors throughout the series: Dee Bradley Baker, Tom Kenny, and Mark Fite.
- A teal variant of Scooter from "Walking Small" has a very similar voice and personality to Sandals. He even wears sandals like Sandals.
- He makes a very brief appearance in The Patrick Star Show episode "Shrinking Stars," where he can be seen walking over to the sandals shop at Shmandor with several other Rubedor clones, referencing his name and the fact that he wears sandals.
- He makes his first speaking role in "Patty Hype."
- Mr. Krabs has yet to give him his coral bits that he paid for in "Clams". This means Mr. Krabs 1 millionth dollar still belongs rightfully to Sandals.
