Plot[]

The episode starts with a summary of the past episode, ending where everyone left Rock Bottom.

The episode goes to Asclepius (doctor of the gods) coming out and going to King Neptune and Queen Amphitrite, telling them Neptuna has died. The whole kingdom mourned over the loss of the princess and prepared for her burial.

That night, Jeron, angrily thinking Neptune is to blame for his love's death, brings Neptuna back to life and convinces her to go with him, where she nods sadly.

The next morning, Neptune and Amphitrite were informed of Neptuna's disappearance and fell into depression, causing darkness in the ocean. Feeling desperate, SpongeBob, Sandy, Triton, and Esa volunteered to search for Neptuna after they found clues of Jeron taking her. As they search for her in Poseidon Mountain, they overcame natural disasters due to the king and queen's depressing moods. They eventually found Neptuna and Jeron in an abandoned Greek-like temple, where they have planned to go to. Jeron wanted to fight and get rid of them, but when Esa asks him why he even chose this place after noting a picture of his mother and a merman next to her, he revealed that this plan happened before with his parents and that his father was a merman. His father disappeared after their love was discovered by the gods, leaving Aqua and a baby Jeron for his safety.

Realizing Neptuna would suffer the same way his mother would and that he was the reason Neptuna died, Jeron gave her back to the group and promises her that he would never hurt her again. Unfortunately, as the group made it back to Atlantis, Eris, the goddess of chaos, was given the strength to break free from her prison and took revenge on Neptuna, injuring her in the process. Luckily, Jeron was able to get King Neptune and his wife out of their depression and defeat Eris. Jeron also was able to nurse Neptuna back to health, and Neptune apologized for separating them. After convincing the gods to change the law of human and mermaid gods being together, Neptune allows Neptuna to marry Jeron.

The episode ends with Esa catching Neptuna's bouquet at the wedding and blushing at Triton, who smiled and winked at her.
