The Meme Games 2022 is the twenty-eighth episode of Season 12 and the seven hundred and fortieth overall to be uploaded on the Crossover Time & SMG4 channel.

It serves as a spinoff to War of the Fat Italians series, the first episode of The Meme Games series and Saiko's updated design makes its debut in this episode. It was aired on July 30, 2022.

Plot[]

The Meme Games Introduction (Prologue)[]

Mario, who organized The Meme Games, welcomes to the sexiest game show, which he made in 5 minutes, with the minigames were submitted by fans, and the participants must beat the most minigames to be the winner. He had kidnapped several people to partake in the games since no one wanted to participate, with the winner getting one wish. Mario gets ready to start, flying away.

Minigames[]

Don't Get Hey Stinky'd[]

Rules: Participants must avoid Mario at all costs and must not hear him calling them stinky, otherwise they would disintegrate and lose.

Night in a city, Luigi, scared, runs towards the dead end. Once Mario called his brother stinky, he loses. When Meggy, Swag, and Boopkins heard Luigi scream, they ran away. Mario tried to find the three but Boopkins hid behind the car, which Mario emerged and said the Mean Girls quote, causing Boopkins to lose. Meggy and Swag run but he purposely tripped her to let Mario get her. Quickly, as he tried to call her stinky, she hurled him up into the sky, where he landed near Swag, causing him to lose. Meggy, cheered from behind, while accidentally letting her position away to Mario as she ran off to escape.

Shroomy's Shooting Range Survival[]

Rules: Participants must avoid being shot by Shroomy.

At the shooting range, Shroomy got a gun, kicked by Mario, who gives the rocket launcher to Shroomy before shouting open fire. He shoots rockets at Bowser, Bob, Boopkins, Luigi, and the Old Man Hobo, screaming. Luigi cowered in fear during rocket launching, the old man walks away but was exploded by a rocket, losing, Bowser went to his shell but Shroomy put a grenade inside the shell, exploding and losing, and Bob holds Boopkins as a sacrifice but gets exploded, both losing. Luigi, still cowering but managed to avoid the rocket shots, won despite doing absolutely nothing.

Bob's Internet History Search[]

Rules: Participants are to survive looking at Bob's Google search history.

In the castle, unfortunately, all but Bob himself were terrified at his internet history that they collapsed to the ground, resulting in a stalemate.

Whack the Pingas[]

Rules: Using a hammer or any weapon, participants must hit the most Robotnik heads to win.

While the old man, Bob, and Boopkins failed miserably, Kaizo, while doing well, noticed Saiko scoring more so he attempted to interrupt her by throwing Boopkins at her face. Saiko threw Boopkins back, launching him directly at Kaizo's groin, causing him to shriek in pain. Mario counted as such and gave 10 points to Saiko.

Manly Mustache Mayhem[]

Rules: Participants must impress Mario with their best mustache.

Of all the mustaches he surveyed, Meggy was disqualified due to her drawing one with a marker, SMG4 was banned due to plagiarism by Mario (despite sharing the same model with him), Swag lost, while Melony won despite using two melons to create one.

Absolutely Nothing Challenge[]

Rules: Participants must absolutely do nothing and avoid reacting to what Mario does to them.

Tari failed as she freaked out when Mario told her that he could smell her.

Saiko's Hammer Toss[]

Rules: Participants are to toss Saiko's hammer as far as it goes.

At a golf course, Saiko tossed her hammer at 206 meters. Hal Monitor transforms into a tank and fires the hammer at 752 meters. JubJub then grew muscular arms to toss the hammer so strong that it orbited Earth. When it came back landing, the scores could only tally 2 meters.

Deadly Rock Paper Scissors[]

Rules: Participants are to play a deadly version of rock, paper, scissors.

With Mario being referee, SMG4 shouted rock, SMG3 said paper, Bob exclaimed pipe bomb, killing all four.

Pin-a-Tail on Donkey Kong[]

Rules: Participants are to pin a tail on Donkey Kong.

In the jungle, Donkey Kong eats a banana but Kaizo and Saiko hid behind a bush. He attempted to do it himself, much to her chagrin when she planned to work together with him, only for him to capture and probe Kaizo by inserting a metal beam up his rear before cutting to Saiko grooving to DK Rap while Kaizo shrieks in agony. Bob unknowingly appears out of nowhere, also grooving while holding a camera recording everything, much to her dismay.

Cooking with Meggy[]

Rules: Participants are to make meals with Meggy.

In the kitchen, the room exploded. Much to Belle's, Bowser's, and Boopkins' surprise, Meggy had already destroyed the kitchen, despite the minigame haven't being started yet.

Don't Piss Off Karen[]

Rules: Participants must not make Karen mad.

At Starbucks, when Bob ordered a hamburger despite being in a coffee shop, this annoyed Karen at first. Later shortly, JubJub asking for a hamburger made her to give him one anyways. Bob then tried to go Karen mode by sporting a bob cut and demanded to speak to the manager, only to be shocked when Karen is the manager, and was defeated. She finally pats JubJub on the head.

Sonic Fanfic Reading[]

Rules: Participants are to withstand reading Sonic fanfiction.

SMG4 opens a book, reading a Sonic fanfic and vomiting. SMG3 does the same, asking who wrote it. When Bob was revealed to have wrote it, he showed his latest work showing Mario and Sonic kissing each other, vomiting SMG4, SMG3 and Mario out as well, losing.

Feed Kirby Challenge[]

Rules: Participants are to feed Kirby until he is satisfied.

Inside the dining room, Wario, who didn't bring any food, used Yoshi's ability to lay eggs to feed Kirby. However this failed, and Wario gives up. Luigi then gave a plate of spaghetti to feed Kirby, to which Mario took it as an insult and hopped on the plate to eat it. Just then, Kirby sucked the plate with Mario along, gaining Mario's abilities. However, Mario's body mass caused Kirby to violently explode, while Luigi, terrified, faints, and wins again.

Melon Eating/Hugging Contest[]

Rules: Participants are to eat melons, but after being threatened by Melony, was changed to hugging melons.

Waluigi, SMG3, and Toad are able to eat melons, watched by Mario, but after Melony threatened him, he was forced to rename the minigame.

Don't Wake the Chain Chomp[]

Rules: Participants are to move to the other side without waking the Chain Chomp.

As Shroomy and Bowser started sneaking and reached to the other side riding his shell as a boat, Kaizo tried to slow Saiko down to run to the finish line, waking the Chain Chomp when he laughed, and tripped his foot on a bed. She facepalmed and then grabbed him before the Chain Chomp had a chance. where Kaizo was surprised that Saiko saved him.

Sleeping Contest with Waluigi[]

Rules: Participants are to sleep with Waluigi.

As Meggy, Belle, and Saiko walked to the dark blue room, they were understandably disgusted that they had to sleep with Waluigi, causing the girls to forfeit. When he tried to entice Mario to sleep with him, the plumber vanished, making Waluigi sad.

The Watermelon Inspection[]

Rules: Participants are to find Melony within hundreds of other melons. Choosing the wrong one would reveal Spy-Melons that would come and try to kill the participants.

When the others chose the impostor melons, the Spy-Melons had already defeated Luigi, Tari and Yoshi. As Saiko tried to fend off the Spy-Melons, she saw Kaizo playing the drums to distract them. As Kaizo was nearing the end of his solo, Saiko had the idea to play a heavy metal cover of Baby Shark, where Melony gave away her position when she started singing Baby Shark. As Saiko found Melony, she won.

Mario's Gonna Do Something Very Illegal (FINALE)[]

Rules: The top 9 participants are to defeat Mario, with the one delivering the final blow winning the Meme Games.

Given weapons, the top 9 must defeat Mario who is piloting the Octobot King. As the team attacked one-by-one, none of them could deal a critical blow to Mario, as he unleased one big laser attack that destroyed the gang.

Saikosis (feat. Elsie Lovelock)[]

Just as there was no winners, Mario laughed. The debris suddenly shakes that Saiko emerged from the rubble, much to Mario's surprise. Kaizo gets up that they play their song, his Octobot King fired a blue ray, she dodged and started singing to rally up the gang, getting up too. After much heavy fighting, the gang managed to kick Mario out of the Octobot King, and Saiko kicked him to the ground to defeat him, granting her 1,000,000,000,000 points and ending the game.

One Wish for the Winner (Epilogue)[]

Saiko found herself with her new look, which Boopkins explained that the graphics update from Kevin's School was imbued into her when she touched Kaizo. Mario congratulated Saiko as the winner of the first Meme Games, and presented her wish: a Little Tikes car. Furious at Saiko's wish, the rest of the losing contestants chased Mario down with pitchforks and torches. As Saiko looked on, Kaizo came in to apologize for his actions, to which Saiko forgave him. When Kaizo asked if they could get KS-2 together again, Saiko agreed, to which her rules apply on her condition, and were about to play one song. Meanwhile, Mario was still being chased and ended the first Meme Games while asking the audience if they wanted to see another game in the future, and continued running when the angry mob approached Mario, getting a Little Tikes car thrown at him by the angry mob.

  • The Mario Channel: MARIO'S CHALLENGE: This episode shares a very similar plot of Mario forcing everyone to partake in a series of challenges, ending with a final challenge against Mario himself which ends in the winner getting a useless prize.
  • SMG4: The Mario Mafia: The final minigame is named after the infamous line from this episode.
  • SMG4: Final Hours: Meggy telling Saiko to talk to her about getting used to body transformations references how she had a body transformation due to the Ink Zuccer 2000 activates again by Axol after Francis created false Goku.

  • On June 22, 2022, Luke and his crew came up with the idea to put Beeg in the episode that by giving fans the Mini-game titles unlike the WotFI series.
  • The episode was first teased in Mario Attempts Tik Tok Challenges.
  • This is the third episode (Apart from the War of the Fat Italians episodes) to be teased and announced, after SMG4: Mario Works at McDonalds and SMG4: If Mario Was In... SQUID GAME.
  • This marks the first appearance of:
  • In the Bob's Search History Minigame, The 3 people that don't collapse to the ground are Bob, Mario, & SMG3.
  • This is one of Mario's few antagonistic roles.
  • The episode saw an update to Saiko's GMod model for the first time since her debut. The model was released a day later on GMod Workshop.[1]
  • Luigi wins two rounds by doing nothing in reference to the Mario Party meme.
  • The weapons used by the top 9 participants in the final minigame are in reference to their character, with:
    • Kaizo with his signature scythe/drumsticks hybrid weapon, referencing him as a member of KS-2.

  • A day after the video was released, the channel banner was updated to show Saiko's new design, but is otherwise the same.
  • With Saiko getting a redesign, this makes Tari the only main character at the time not based on a Nintendo model to not have a redesign since Melony: (Meggy was an inkling now human, Melony was a watermelon now human, Saiko new redesign) this may indicate Tari will eventually be redesigned in the future.
  • Tari didn't speak in this episode.
  • This episode reveals that Melony can change into a melon without her hair showing or being a different color.

  • Takeshi's Castle: The episode draws heavy inspiration from the Japanese game show TV series, with the final minigame reminiscent of the final minigame of defeating the show's host Beat Takeshi.
